POSITION OVERVIEW
Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Strategic Communications Director will play a crucial role in shaping and executing comprehensive communication strategies that align with our company's mission, objectives, and key results (OKRs). This position is integral to fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and engagement across our rapidly growing organization.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Execution

  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that support company OKRs and initiatives
  • Lead integration efforts to ensure alignment of communications across all departments
  • Design and execute comprehensive change management communication strategies
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team on employer branding initiatives for recruiting & HR purposes

Internal Communications

  • Manage and optimize internal communication channels, including Slack and Notion
  • Create engaging content that reinforces company culture and values
  • Develop strategies to effectively communicate company policies, benefits, and annual HR processes
  • Implement and measure the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Partner with executive leadership to craft and disseminate key organizational messages
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to create cohesive messaging for OKRs
  • Provide communications support for mergers, acquisitions, and major organizational changes
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on internal communications best practices

Crisis and Change Management

  • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies as needed
  • Lead change management communications for organizational transformations
  • Guide the organization through transitions with clear, timely, and empathetic communications

Performance Measurement and Optimization

  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of communication initiatives
  • Analyze data and stakeholder feedback to continuously improve communication strategies
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and innovative communication practices

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic communications
  • Proven track record in healthcare or startup environments
  • Demonstrated success in change management and employee engagement initiatives
  • Skills and Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities
  • Proficiency with digital communication platforms (e.g., Slack, Notion)
  • Experience in data analysis and performance measurement
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry trends and regulations
