POSITION OVERVIEW
The Regional Practice Manager responsible for providing strategic leadership and overseeing the operational and administrative functions across multiple practices within a designated region. This role entails direct oversight of Site Managers, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving operational excellence across all practices in the region. The Regional Manager collaborates closely with physicians, executive leadership, staff, and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of patient care and service delivery. As a leader, this role is pivotal in cultivating a culture of exceptional customer service while fostering team development and operational efficiency.
Additionally, this position plays a key role in identifying and driving strategic growth opportunities, monitoring financial and operational performance, and spearheading initiatives that enhance business outcomes. This position requires a deep understanding of healthcare operations and an ability to develop competitive strategies that align with Harbor Health's long-term mission and vision for growth.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Regional-Level Responsibilities
- Oversee P&L and performance metrics for all clinics within the region, ensuring financial and operational goals are met.
- Lead, coach, and develop Site Managers, including hiring and training new managers as needed.
- Review departmental and clinical performance against established goals, implementing improvements to enhance service quality and compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
- Develop and implement effective workplace procedures, ensuring all policies and practices align with industry standards and government regulations.
- Lead by example – Acquire a first-hand knowledge of daily center operations and participate in center floor work on a routine basis.
- Collaborate with clinicians to ensure staff competency in all aspects of patient care.
Organizational leadership
- Share best practices across the organization and ensure consistent policies across regions.
- Develop SOPs considering the short- and long-term needs of the business
- Works with Operations leadership, clinical teams, and support staffing levels and proficiencies that will optimize patient satisfaction, workflows, and efficiencies.
Clinic-Level Responsibilities
- Responsible for provider template management; including creating, opening, closing, and monitoring of schedules. Evaluates provider panels and monitors provider productivity.
- Foster a professional and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, high-quality care, exceptional outcomes, and member safety.
- Oversee and guide practice managers in ordering supplies, managing inventory, medications and medical equipment, approving invoices and selecting and managing local vendors to minimize the cost of outsourced services.
- Delegate appropriately while maintaining accountability while out of the clinic.
DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of health care delivery systems, statistical review skills, and data management skills.
- Knowledgeable of State of Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) regulations, TDH and federal regulations governing claims payment, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of staff including physicians and Executive Management.
- 3 to 5 years of Direct Management experience - Healthcare experience preferred
- Previous oversight of multiple clinic sites or departments, either directly or via direct reports
- Experience creating and implementing operational analytics infrastructure
- Experience negotiating vendor contracts in the functions described above
- Bachelor's orMaster’s Degree
