POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Part-Time Board-Certified Endocrinologist to join our innovative healthcare team in Austin. In this role, you will provide specialized endocrine and diabetes care while collaborating with our primary care providers to deliver integrated, value-based care to our members. This position offers the opportunity to help shape our specialty care model within our payvider framework.

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the development of a comprehensive program of endocrine care for Harbor’s diverse population of members
  • Provide comprehensive endocrine care to adult patients, with a focus on diabetes management, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine conditions
  • Collaborate with primary care physicians and other specialists to develop and implement coordinated care plans
  • Participate in the development of clinical protocols and pathways that align with value-based care principles
  • Engage in population health management strategies for patients with endocrine conditions
  • Utilize modern healthcare technology platforms to deliver efficient, patient-centered care
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and outcome measurements
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
  • Participate in regular care team meetings to ensure coordinated patient care

DESIRED PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Board Certification in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism
  • Active Texas medical license or ability to obtain one
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in endocrinology
  • Experience with value-based care models preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Proficiency with electronic health records and digital health tools
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous quality improvement
  • Experience in population health management preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex medical concepts to patients
  • Interest in innovative healthcare delivery models
