We are looking for an exceptional Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager to join the Harbor Health finance team who is passionate about driving change in the healthcare space.  The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, deadline driven, and ready to hit the ground running.  This role will challenge you and provide ample opportunity for professional growth.  You will need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves up and digging into our financial data, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders on key assumptions for budgeting and forecasting purposes and be able to provide timely updates on actual financial performance vs plan.  Understanding our financial models and key drivers of business performance are imperative.  You will need to be succinct and have the ability to translate financial insights into executive level presentations.  You will have high levels of exposure within the company & visibility across the organization with the opportunity to help us shape our company's future.

The Strategic Finance Lead will be responsible for:

  • Work directly with the Finance leadership team to take ownership and fully manage our short-term and long-term financial models
  • Develop an expert understanding of revenue & cost levers across multiple business lines, including commercial risk programs, governmental risk programs, and clinical operations
  • Drive the annual forecast process and provide timely insights to line-of-business & functional leadership on current business performance
  • Analyze revenue and cost metrics to identify opportunities for improved financial performance
  • Develop scalable processes to analyze the financial impact of potential strategic initiatives, partnerships, and corporate development proposals
  • Drive strategy activation through influencing & collaborating with line-of-business & functional leadership

Successful Strategic Finance Leads will have:

  • 7+ years of experiences in an FP&A-focused role at a VC or PE-backed company, healthcare business, or consulting firm
  • Experience building & managing complex FP&A models, including short-term & long-term income statement projections
  • In-depth experience translating FP&A models into balance sheet and cash flow projections
  • Experience running functional budgeting processes, owning the functional roll-up, and analyzing budget-to-actual results
  • Advanced understanding of healthcare landscape, including knowledge of payer & provider operations, value based care models and risk sharing, government programs (e.g. ACO Reach, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, etc.), and cost of care dynamics 
  • Ability to model business development opportunities on an as needed basis
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal) with keen ability to take complex scenarios and distill into easy-to-understand summaries & action plans
  • Collaborative mindset with an eagerness to learn & grow
  • Proactive approach toward getting things done
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
  • Must be Austin or Minneapolis based

Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:

  • Start-up experience
  • Understanding of data & analytics tools, specifically Tableau
  • Relevant professional designation(s)
  • Advanced degree in finance or accounting

Physical Requirements of the role include:

  • Ability to travel as needed, less than 10% of time
