Harbor Health looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer - Insurance Team to become a member of our team! Our Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for:

Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality code
Design and develop scalable web applications with both front-end and back-end components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., product managers, designers, DevOps) to define and ship new features
Maintain and improve existing systems, ensuring performance, scalability, and security
Write and maintain technical documentation for code and systems
Test and debug applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience
Contribute to architectural decisions to ensure system reliability and scalability
Accountable for participating in and providing support for production environments
Build and maintain integrations with third party vendors

Successful Senior Software Engineers will have:

3-5 years of experience in software development / data engineering
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Javascript/Typescript, or similar
Proficiency in designing, managing, and optimizing relational database systems
Proven experience in developing and delivering greenfield projects from concept to deployment
Ability to act as a team player
Ability to manage outside vendor relationship
Have the ability to partner in the development, management and operationalizing processes and workflows to maximize efficiencies
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or relevant job experience
This is a remote role.

Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:

Strong knowledge of healthcare EDI transactions
Experience implementing and operating delegated TPA, UM, UR, credentialing and related functions
Experience developing and administering value-based payment arrangements is a plus

Physical Requirements of the role include:

Up to 25% Travel
