Harbor Health looking for an engaging Insurance Sales Lead to become a member of our team! The insurance Sales Lead has the responsibility for developing market demand, selling and retaining customers for Harbor Health Medical Group services in all products, and for Harbor Health Benefit products.
Accountability is defined by goals for budgeted membership (both risk-based and fee-for-service) and top line revenue growth. This role will be part of the team developing new health benefit products and new direct-to-employer clinical products and helping ensure good product-market fit for innovative product offerings.

Our Insurance Sales Lead will be responsible for:

  • Build partnerships with payors with whom HHMG has a risk contract
  • Grow ACO REACH membership for HHMG through: recruitment, voluntary alignment and claims attribution.
  • Grow ACO REACH membership for Harbor through: targeted physician practice recruitment.
  • Grow membership in MA and commercial risk contracts
  • Achieve budget member month goals across multiple revenue lines
  • Build, develop and manage sales and account management teams
  • Be a subject matter expert for product development teams
  • Actively participate in benefit product design work
  • Actively participate in direct to employer clinical product design work
  • Build and execute tactics and strategies for B2B and B2C growth

Successful Insurance Sales Leads will have:

  • 5 years successful sales leadership roles in health insurance
  • Bachelors degree or minimum of 10 years in licensed health insurance sales.
  • Insurance distribution relationships preference in the Austin area
  • 5 years of group insurance product and sales experience (e.g. B2B products)
  • Retail insurance product and sales experience (e.g. DTC products: MA, ACO REACH, ACA, Medicaid)
  • Sales and account management experience

Additional Skills & Experiences Preferred include:

  • Experience selling fully insured, level funded and ASO
  • Experience selling large group and enterprise clients
  • Experience opening new markets and launching new products

Physical Requirements of the role include:

  • Travel > 50%
